PURPOSE:To perform operation in many modes by setting plural levels for different operation modes of the execution of a simple means. CONSTITUTION:A microprocessor 51 uses, for example, a jumper line which is on only in assembly manufacture as a switch, and inputs respective signals from a line switch 54 which disconnects the jumper line after the assembly manufacture and a service man switch 55 that a service man operates for maintenance inspection. Two levels in the assembly manufacture, and the level that the service man uses and the level that a general user uses, i.e. four levels in total are settable with the two switches (line switch 54 and service man switch 55). Consequently, the image forming device is easily operated in many modes, such as a normal mode, aging mode, check mode, auto toner adjustment mode, and forcible ready mode. |
