PURPOSE:To form the reflecting layer of a reflection-type fluorescent lamp by pouring down the first and second coating liquids containing light-reflecting material from the upper opening of the glass tube which is held vertically, and after baking, by separating a part of the reflecting layer by a scraper so that an opening will be formed. CONSTITUTION:The first reflecting layer is formed by pouring down the first coating liquid containing the light-reflecting material which cannot be vitrificated easily, from the upper opening of a vertically held glass tube. Then the second reflecting layer is formed over the first layer by pouring down the second coating liquid containing the light-reflecting material which can be vitrificated easily. After baking, a scraper is moved inside the glass tube so that both reflecting layers are removed to form an opening. Thereafter an coating fluid containing a fluorescent material is poured to form a fluorescent layer. Thus formed is a reflection-type fluorescent lamp which can be used as the light source of a facsimile. According to this method, the border of the opening in the reflecting layer can be favourably formed in a straight line and thus the value of the lamp as a commercial good is raised. |
