PURPOSE:To reduce the time lag between additional weldings and to improve productivity in the stage of additional welding of divided parts after tack welding said members to unite the members to one body by providing a lifting device and enabling lifting of a conveyor for a jig base on which a welding machine is mounted. CONSTITUTION:A work W is set to the jig base 1 in the set position A and the base 1 is moved upward to the welding position B by a conveyor 2 which is long in the transverse direction and a lifting device 17. The work is tack welded in said position. The base 1 is moved upward to the transfer position of the work W matching a work holder 12 while the work is welded and at the same time the tack welding is completed. The work W is thereafter transferred without time lag to the holder 12. The work W transferred thereto is additionally welded by an additional welding device. On the other hand, the base is moved backward to the position A where the succeeding work W is set thereto. The work W on the holder 12 is received to a delivery device 20 upon completion of the additional welding. |
