PURPOSE:To obtain a head positioning device which moves linearly and is not effected by gravity by connecting a head and a coil through a mechanism for reversing of the direction of force such as a rack and pinion and a belt and pulley and balancing the weight. CONSTITUTION:When current is conducted to a coil 10, force is generated and the coil 10 moves along a coil guide 12. The movement is transmitted to a head rack 15 by a coil rack 13 and a pinion 14. As a result, a head 16 moves in the reverse direction to the coil along a head guide 17. At this time, tensile force is given by a spring 18 for eliminating play between the racks 13, 15 and the pinion 14. |
