PURPOSE:To obtain high sensitivity and superior durability by dividing the electrostatic charge transfer layer of a composite type photosensitive body into the upper and lower layers and interposing an interlayer capable of transferring charge and made of an alcohol-soluble resin. CONSTITUTION:The charge transfer layer of a composite type photosensitive body formed on a conductive substrate 1 is divided into the upper and lower layers 4, 3 and an interlayer 5 capable of transferring charge between both and made of an alcohol-soluble resin. The interlayer 5 is made of an acrylate resin represented by the formula in which R1 is H or methyl, and R2 is a univalent org. group. The charge transfer layer thus divided into the layers 3, 4 can be formed overall thicker and increased in chargeable amt., enhanced in charging speed. Surface hardness and corona resistance can be enhanced by lowering the concn. of the charge transfer material in the charge transfer layer 4 located near the surface of the photosensitive body and doing the like, and a photosensitive body high in strength and abrasion resistance can be obtained. As a result, the obtained composite type electrophotographic sensitive body has high sensitivity and superior durability. |
