The milling cutter has a cutter body (10) with at least one shoe (12) carrying a cutting insert (11). The shoe position is varied by an adjuster (13) to vary the extent to which the insert projects. The adjuster has a support face (17) to engage the cutter body and a wedge face (19) to engage the shoe. The support face of the adjuster is curved. It is pref. partly cylindrical, the sector of a circle formed by the curved surface having an included angle (alpha) greater than 180 degrees. |
