PURPOSE:To improve the rotary drive responding characteristic of a stepping motor by removing an unnecessary exciting current for holding a motor. CONSTITUTION:An exciting current for holding a motor is flowed for the prescribed period as shown by hatched portions (h). This is inserted only to the head portion of the data signal, but not inserted among rotary drive data D1, D2, D3. The motor holding function is provided in the exciting current for absorbing the vibration designated by T2. Accordingly, as compared with the conventional controller in which the exciting current for holding the period T1 among the data signals D1, D2, D3, the time characteristic of rotary drive response can be improved, and since the time for flowing the exciting current for holding the motor can be shortened, the power consumption can be reduced. |
