PURPOSE:To fix one member and the other member which are difficult to be welded to each other without exerting mechanical force thereto in the stage of combining the two members then deforming partly one member to caulk said materials by melting partly the member by irradiation of a laser to deform the irradiated part thereby caulking the two materials. CONSTITUTION:A mounting hole 1 is provided to one plate-shaped member 1 and a chamfered part 3 is formed to the circumferential edge thereof. A small diameter part 5 to be fitted into the hole 2 and a collar part 6 of a large diameter are formed to the other member 4 which is circular cylindrical. After the member 1 and the member 2 are combined, laser light 8 is irradiated to the outside circumferential part 7 at the end face of the small diameter part 5. A part 9 of the part 5 is then melted to flow toward the part 3 of the one member 1 and is solidified. The other member 4 is thoroughly detained to the member 1 by the flowed part 9 and the collar part 6 by which the two members are eventually axially caulked. |
