PURPOSE:To provide a toner having good and stable chargeability irrespectively of temp. and moisture and to obtain a sharp color image by using the Zn-contg. magnetic oxide obtd. by heating and oxidizing ferrite contg. a proper amt. of Zn to the extent at which crystal change partly to alpha-Fe2O3 system arises. CONSTITUTION:The Zn-contg. magnetic oxide obtd. by heating and oxidizing the ferrite having the spinel structure consisting of the compsn. (ZnO)x(FeO)1-xFe2O3 [x=0.1-0.9] to the presence of 2-40wt% alpha-Fe2O3 is incorporated into the toner. The ferrite powder which is oxidized at, for example, about 200-400 deg.C in the above-mentioned way, changes to sepia color and provides the colored magnetic powder which is slightly reddish. If such powder is incorporated into the toner at, for example, about 20-60wt% and if such toner is used, the color toner having high saturation as well as good developing efficiency and transfer efficiency are obtd. as the magnetic toner. The sharp color image having no photographic fog is thus obtd. |
