A display (2) has a plurality of light emitting diodes which can be sequentially activated by a computer system (8) via cathode and anode drivers. Information is inputted to the computer system (8) by means of a light pen. The light pen contains a switch (6), which is activated when pressure is applied to the tip of the pen along the pen axis. When the computer system (8) detects that the pen switch is activated, the computer system (8) powers up the display, if it is not already powered, and initiates a sensing scan to determine if the light pen is positioned above any of the light emitting diodes to store data relating to that diode in the computer system (8). The display and light pen may be used in conjunction with an on-line TV monitoring meter, which is used to record, and transmit to a central receiving station, data received from television channel detecting and/or people monitoring units. <IMAGE> |
