PURPOSE:To shorten a calender line and suppress the equipment cost by furnishing accumulators over and under a traveling frame. CONSTITUTION:A base cloth 15 paid off from a base cloth payoff device is cut and connected with another base cloth 15 paid off from the other base cloth payoff device. As supply of base cloth 15 is interrupted, for a while, protrusion of a piston rod 24 to an upper stop point will slacken a traveling wire 21 to cause a traveling frame 19 to sink with its horizontal attitude held, and base cloth 15 stored in a lower accumulator 29 is released, so that there is no more necessity for stopping the calender. Base cloths 15 supplied simultaneously are dried by a dryer and cooled by a cleaning device 7 to be then stored in an upper accumulator 28, whilst switching of winder can be performed. |
