PURPOSE:To effectively transfer and obtain a high-quality image, by a method wherein a sheet comprising a specified bisphenol compound and a porous filler is used as a receiving sheet, and a transfer sheet is moved at a specified velocity relative to a head when recording. CONSTITUTION:The receiving sheet provided with a receiving layer comprising 1pts.wt. of a bisphenol compound of the formula, wherein each of X1 and X2 is a lower alkyl group or a halogen atom, each of R1 and R2 is a hydrogen atom or a 1-16C alkyl group, and each of n and m is an integer of 0-4, and 0.1- 10pts.wt. of a porous filler having an oil absorption of not less than 50ml/100g and the transfer sheet provided with a transfer layer comprising a known leuco dye as a main constituent are laminated on each other, and the transfer sheet is pressed against a thermal head to perform thermal transfer. In this case, the transfer sheet is moved relatively to the thermal head at a rate of not less than (dot length/the number of times of repeated use of the transfer sheet) and less than the dot length per recording of one dot. |
