PURPOSE:To enhance the accuracy of sensing the residual quantity and eliminate deformation of a roll paper by installing a rotary encoder at the end of a roll stem, converting the output roll paper of the encoder into an amount corresponding to the inverted number of the angular velocity of said roll stem, and by displaying the result obtained. CONSTITUTION:A rotary encoder 4 is installed at the end of a roll stem 3, and the output of this encoder 4 is fed into a micro-computer 6, which converts it into a quantity corresponding to the inverted number of the angular velocity of roll stem 3, and the residual quantity is displayed on a display 5. Thus the residual quantity can be sensed without requiring direct touch withe the roll paper 1, which will eliminate deformation of the roll paper 1 as well as enhance the accuracy of sensing the residual amount. |
