PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency in transfer work by arranging a pair of transport conveyors and piling pallets at each freight loading position and loading the transported freights successively from the upper part of the pallets by a robot in the intermediate part in the vicinity of the edge part of the both conveyors. CONSTITUTION:The freight loading positions A and B are set onto the both sides of feeding conveyors C1 and C2, and a proper amount of vacant pallets are piled at each freight loading position. After the freight (g1) on the conveyor C1 is load onto the vacant uppermost pallet among pallets P1 by a robot R in the vicinity of the front edge of the conveyor, the robot R is arranged close to the conveyor C1, and the succeeding freight (g1) is transferred onto the pallet P1 by the operation similar to the above-described. When the frights (g1) are loaded in a prescribed stages onto the pallet P1 through the repetition of these operations, the pertinent pallet P1 is carried-out by a carrying-out machine (not shown in the figure). During said carrying-out operation, the robot R is oriented to the right side, and the freight (g2) on the conveyor C2 is transferred onto the uppermost-stage pallet P2 by the operation similar to the above-described. When the freights (g2) are loaded in a prescribed stages onto the pallet P2, the pertinent pallet P2 is carried-out by the carrying-out machine. Thus, the freights (g1) and (g2) are alternately loaded and carried-out in succession onto the piled vacant pallets P1 and P2. |
