PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a print and the operability by a construction wherein angles of a nozzle line and deflecting electrodes to the horizontal direction are varied according to the direction of the movement of a printing head having a plurality of nozzles. CONSTITUTION:A multi-nozzle ink jet recording apparatus is formed of a printing head 1, a charging electrode 2, an upper deflecting electrode 3, a lower deflecting electrode 4, an ink mist absorbing plate 5, a gutter 6, recording paper 7 and nozzles 8. The nozzle line and the deflecting electrodes are set at an angle of 41.18 deg. to the horizontal direction (a straight line P-P) when the printing head 1 moves to the right, and at an angle of 48.82 deg.(a straight line Q-Q) when the head moves to the left. These angles 41.18 deg. and 48.82 deg. are calculated from the speed of the printing head, the quantity of deflection of ink droplets and the speed thereof, and they are varied in accordance with variations of these parameters. |
