The thione cpds. of the formula (I) are novel: (where R2 is H or CH3). (I) are vulcanisation accelerators for natural or synthetic rubbers, corrosion inhibitors for non-ferrous metals, flotation agents in the extraction of non-ferrous metals from waste waters, herbicides and insecticides. They may be prepd. by reacting imidazolidine-2-thione with formaldehyde and R2-substd. decahydroquinolines. A typical prod. is N,N'-bis-(decahydroquinolyl-N-methyl)-imidazolidine-2-thione.
