PURPOSE:To discriminate a work moved rapidly along a fixed reference by arranging a detecting means for detecting the position of a substance and a detecting means for detecting the sectional shape of the substance so as to meet each other at right angles. CONSTITUTION:The work to be discriminated at its posture is moved along a reference on a track. A region detecting operator 3 detects that the leading end of the picture of the work has reached a photoelectric element on the most- leading end of a region detecting photoelectric element array 1 and its output signal 22 sends the contents 25 stored in the 1st row of a memory 4 to a comparator 6. Simultaneously, a pulse array-like signal 23 is applied from a shape detecting photoelectric element array 2 to the comparator 6 through a shape detecting operator 5, the comparator 6 compares the stored contents and sends an inconsistency signal 29 to a discriminator 8, which accumulates the inconsistency signal 29. Said operation is repeated, and when the accumulated inconsistency signals 29 are less than a prescribed value, the discriminator 8 decides that the posture is correct and generates a positive signal. Thus, the work moved at a prescribed high speed can be discriminated. |
