PURPOSE:To form a good picture extending over a wide temperature range without increasing an exposure quantity by controlling a developing bias voltage or the exposure quantity in accordance with a temperature of an image carrying body. CONSTITUTION:When a detecting temperature of a photosensitive body by a thermistor 12 is supplied through an A/D converter 15, etc., a CPU16 outputs control signals VCONT1, VCONT2 through a D/A converter 17 basing on a program. In case when a temperature is low, a developing bias voltage is controlled so as to be increased by the signal VCONT1, and in case when a temperature is high, an exposure time is controlled so as to be shortened by the signal VCONT2. Accordingly, in case when a temperature is low, it is possible to form a good picture whose picture density is controlled, extending over a wide temperature range without increasing the exposure time. |
