PURPOSE:To obtain a highly reliable battery which has a high performance and in which no liquid leakage is caused by sticking an electric-insulating sheet to the periphery of a conductive sheet to which an active material is fixed, then stacking thus formed sheet members and separators alternately before the electric-insulating sheets are fused. CONSTITUTION:After an expanded metal 10 is fixed to one or both surfaces of a metallic sheet 6 by spot welding, an insulating sheet 6 formed by performing polyethylene coating on a fluorine resin subjected to adhesive treatment is fused to the peripheral area of the metallic sheet. Next, a polyacetylene used as an electrode active material 17 is fixed to the current collector 10 thereby making a sheet member. Next, thus formed sheet members and separators 12 are stacked alternately before their peripheries are fused. After that, electrolyte is poured before sealing is performed, thereby making a layer-built secondary battery. |
