PURPOSE:To reduce the number of input contacts of a controller and to make the controller small-sized by inputting an operation switch input from an operation panel to a central operation processing unit through an encoder circuit and an interrupt generating circuit. CONSTITUTION:A digital controller is provided with a controller 2 having an operation panel 21, and analog signals and contact input signals from a process 1 are converted digitally and are applied to a CPU5 of the controller 2. Analog converted output signals and contact signals are outputted from the CPU5 to the process 1. This operation panel 21 is provided with not only indicator lamps L1-Ln connected to a contact output device 10 but also an interruption generating circuit 30 and an operation switch encoding circuit 31. This circuit 30 inputs an interruption signal 21a to the CPU5 of the controller 2 when one of operation switches S1-Sn is turned on, and an operation switch code signal 20a cor- responding to the turned-on switch is applied from the circuit 31 to an input port 20. Thus, the number of input contacts of the controller 2 is reduced to make the controller 2 small-sized. |
