PURPOSE:To prevent a stencil paper from being broken at the time of mounting a stencil or printing, by a method wherein a thermal stencil paper comprising a multiplicity of fibers arranged in parallel on one side of a synthetic resin film is wound around a form cylinder so that the fibers extend in the circumferential direction of the cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The stencil paper 4 comprises a multiplicity of fibers 5 arranged in parallel in a fixed direction on one side of the synthetic resin film 5 and adhered by an adhesive 7, and images are perforated in the synthetic film 5 by a thermal stencil-making method. Since the stencil paper 4 has a low tensile strength in a direction orthogonal to the direction of the arrangement of the fibers 6, the stencil paper is wound around the outer peripheral surface of the form cylinder 1 so that the direction of arrangement of the fibers 6 coincides with the circumferential direction of the cylinder. Accordingly, since the direction of a tensile force exerted on the stencil paper 4 at the time of mounting the stencil and at the time of printing coincides with the direction of arrangement of the fibers 6, the stencil paper will not be broken. |
