PURPOSE:To easily supply copying paper sheets by allowing a separating hook to be interlocked with the mounting and demounting operation for a paper feeding cassette and allowing the separating hook to be automatically retreated from a separation position when the paper feeding cassette is separated from a paper feeding part. CONSTITUTION:When a paper feeding cassette 1 is pulled-out from a paper feeding part, a separating hook 5 is released from the pressing pressure due to a positioning roller 20, and a leaf spring 8 turns sideways, having a pin 6 as fulcrum, by the reaction of an urging force which a leaf spring 8 receives from an aculide rail 10, and the hook part 5b retreats from the top edge both side parts of a copying paper sheet P. Supply of copying sheets is performed by loading new copying paper sheets onto a small amount of copying paper sheets P left on a loading plate 2. At this time, the supplied copying paper sheets can be loaded smoothly without being caught by the hook part 5b. It is enough to push the paper feeding cassette 1 inwardly, in order to mount the paper feeding cassette 1 into the paper feeding part.
