PURPOSE:To enable to favorably fit a recording sheet, by a method wherein when fitting a recording sheet to a recording part, a sheet-feeding roller is repeatedly driven and stopped so that the average feeding velocity of the sheet is made to be approximate to the feeding velocity of a platen roller. CONSTITUTION:In the condition wherein the platen roller 20 is stopped, a resist roller pair 18 is turned by 340mSec to feed a recording paper S to the recording part, and the leading end of the paper S is brought into contact with a contact part of the platen roller 20 and a thermal head 25 through the ink sheet IS, thereby forming a slight loop. Next, the resist roller pair 18 is stopped, and simultaneously the platen roller 20 is rotated counterclockwise by 180mSec. In this case, a major part of the loop of the paper S is absorbed by the former 90mSec rotation, followed by again turning the resist roller pair 18 by 90mSec, and the paper S is thoroughly clamped at the recording part while absorbing the velocity difference between the rollers 18, 20. Accordingly, the recording sheet can be favorably fitted to the recording part by the platen roller. |
