PURPOSE:To detect vignetting state in accordance with a real condition and to reduce its bad influence by detecting the vignetting state generated due to various undifined factors by using the output of an image sensor array to which various factors are superposed. CONSTITUTION:If the vignetting state is generated, a detecting means 50 sends an output indicating the generation of an unsuitable state to a detected state control means 60. The control means 60 compares the output with a threshold level, and when judges the output exceeds the limit, sends a switching control signal to switching means 33a, 33b. An autofocusing control means 70 switches a lens driving control mode on the basis of the control signal. The detecting means judges the existence of the vignetting state, and when the control means 60 outputs a control signal indicating the restoration of suitable states, the suitable lens driving control mode is restored on the basis of said output. Thus, the vignetting state can be detected and its bad influence can be reduced, so that highly accurate focus detection can be attained. |
