PURPOSE:To improve the cell properties and its long life while evenly distributing the air collectively supplied to the plural groups of cell stacks arranged in the shape of a loop by providing inside a manifold at intervals a plural number of loop commutating plates, whose lower end openings are reduced in order toward the direction of air circulation, while the upper end openings are almost equal. CONSTITUTION:The respective loop commutating plates 51-54 are expandingly opened in a trumpet shape so that the area of the lower end opening may be reduced in order toward the direction of air circulation, while the area of the upper end opening may be about equal and the size in height of the respective loop commutating plates 51-54 is enlarged in order toward the direction of air circulation. The respective loop commutating plates 51-54 are made flatly square while having four deflection faces concaved in a parabola shape respectively opposing to the stack air supply faces. Thereby, the air, which is pressure- conveyed to a manifold 20, is evenly distributed ranging the full length and full width of the respective stacks thus the cell reaction and/or cooling are properly performed with no diversity. |
