[Also in Division B8] An ingot 1 for stacking comprises two rectangular parallel bases joined by lateral faces, 2, 4, one of the two bases carrying at least one nipple 3 and the two larger faces 4 having grooves 5 to receive the nipples of other ingots. The ingots are stacked in layers, each layer being at right angles to the adjacent layers, and the ingots of each layer being arranged alternately with one or the other base uppermost. The end of each ingot may have a notch 6 for binding strips. |
