Polyarylate resin compositions exhibiting flame retardancy comprised of at least one polyarylate resin derived from:
<UnorderedLists id="ula01" listStyle="none"><ListItem>(i) at least one aromatic dicarboxylic acid or a reactive derivative thereof; and</ListItem><ListItem>(ii) from about 1 to 100 weight percent of at least one thiodiphenol and from 0 to about 99 weight percent of at least one dihydric phenol, based on the total amount of thiodiphenol and dihdyric phenol.</ListItem></UnorderedLists>
