CONSTITUTION:The initial setting between gears to be detected and encoders is carried out with the use of an original point compensating jig 19 so that the center positions of reference troughes 21, 22, which are arbitrarily determined, of gears 15, 16 to be detected, are positioned right below tools 4, 4 for forming lost tooth sections, and the values of the encoders 17, 18 at this time are used as their original points. Then a torsion bar 1 is rotated so that the gears 15, 16 moves integrally with the encoders 17, 18 toward the positions where the gears 14, 15 are meshed with gears 2, 3, and when the meshing of the gears are confirmed, a motor 28 comes to a stop. The values of the encoders 17, 18 at this stage are delivered to a computing and controlling section 30 to obtain the positions of lost tooth sections to be formed, where the differences in angle between the teeth of gears 2, 3 take minimum values. These positions are rotated by predetermined rotating angles in accordance with the numbers of pulses required to oppose these positions to the tools 4, 4 for forming lost tooth sections. When the lost tooth sections comes to positions right below the tools 4, 4, the tools 4, 4 are rotated to carry out the lost tooth section forming process. |
