PURPOSE:In purifying liquefied carbonic acid containing impurities, to reduce electrical power for refrigerator operation, by cooling a refrigerant solution from the refrigerator with liquefied carbonic acid stored at the bottom of a purification column, reducing the pressure of the refrigerant solution, feeding it to a cooler for CO2. CONSTITUTION:A crude CO2 gas containing impurities is fed from the inlet 2 to the CO2 purification column 1, CO2 leaving from the outlet 4 at the top is cooled with a refrigerant from the refrigerator 13 by the cooler 9, condensed into a liquid state and put in the impurity removal tank 10. In the tank, it is separated into liquefied carbonic acid and a noncondensed impure gas, the impure gas is exhausted from the pipe 12. The condensed solution is returned to the purification column 1 by the pump 11, and while it is dropped through the filler 7, it is brought into contact in vapor-liquid state with CO2 evaporating from the reservoir part 5 of liquefied carbonic acid at the bottom of the purification column, and the remaining impure gas in condensed solution is removed. The condensed solution as high-purity liquefied carbonic acid is put in the reservoir part 5, the refrigerant in the refrigerator 13 is compressed by the compressor 14, sent to the heat exchanger 6, heats and evaporates the liquefied carbonic acid, and the refrigerant itself is cooled and sent through the cooler 9 to the refrigerator 13. |
