PURPOSE:To allow high-speed feed and low-speed feed concurrently and select the optimum feed for the machining condition by transmitting the rotary drive force of a worm wheel to a rotary shaft via a friction clutch mechanism when the low-speed feed mechanism of the tool cutting quantity is in operation. CONSTITUTION:When a milling machine is to be fitted to a main spindle, a box nut 29 is rotated to move a push rod 25 to the left, a rotary shaft 12 and a worm wheel 16 are coupled in one body, and when an operation handle 8 is rotated, the rotary drive force is transmitted to a pinion 11 via a press piece 22 and the rotary shaft 12, and a low-speed fine feed action is applied to the main spindle. Next, when a drill, etc. is to be fitted, the box nut 29 is loosened to move the push rod 25 to the right via the energizing force of a spring 27, the coupling between the rotary shaft 12 and the worm wheel 16 is released, and the power transmission path is switched to a high-speed feed mechanism. A consisting of an operation lever 13 and the rotary shaft 12 to obtain the high-speed up- and-down movement. Accordingly, the optimum feed speed can be attained in response to the type and cutting speed of the tool. |
