PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition having remarkably improved water resistance, without lowering various other properties of the polyamide resin, by compounding a polyamide resin homogeneously with a specific amount of a specific polyester resin. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is produced by compounding (A) 50- 90wt% polyamide resin having a number-average molecular weight of 10,000- 35,000 (e.g. polycaprolactam) homogeneously with (B) 10-50wt% thermoplastic polyester resin having a number-average molecular weight of 10,000-35,000 and composed of the units of formula I , formula II and formula III (m is 2-4; n is 3-11; p is 2-14; q is 2-20) wherein the ratio of (II+III)/( I +II+III) is 0.01- 0.3. The polyester resin can be produced by introducing a unit derived from caprolactam or a salt of a 2-14C aliphatic diamine and a 4-20C aliphatic dicarboxylic acid at a ratio of 0.01-0.3 into the principal skeleton composed of an ester structure consisting of a combination of a 2-6C glycol and a dicarboxylic acid (e.g. terephthalic acid). |
