PURPOSE:To avoid the deterioration of transmission quality due to reflected light and the degradation of reliability and also to prevent increased scale and complicated optical transceiver photodetection section circuit by arranging >=2 output sections while adjusting each optical irradiation directivity and optical irradiation power level to an optical repeater. CONSTITUTION:The optical axis of an output section light emitting element is tilted by nearly 73 deg. from the perpendicular to a floor by taking each irradiation directivity of light emitting elements 30, 31, 32 and 33 and light intensity distribution on the floor when an optical signal from the optical repeater 20 is reflected uniformly and omnidirectionally into consideration. The irradiated power level in the vicinity beneath the optical repeater 36 is decreased by adjusting the irradiation directivity of the output section of the optical repeater 36 and the irradiated power. Since the optical power level on the floor in the vicinity beneath the optical repeater 36 is low, the reflected light incident to the optical repeater 36 is reduced thereby decreasing malfunction of the optical repeater 36 due to reflected light. Moreover, the level difference between the minimum photodetecting level and the maximum photodetection level of the optical transceiver in the area in service by the optical repeater 36 is decreased while relieving the load of circuit at the optical transceiver photodetection section. |
