PURPOSE:To obtain a resin compsn. having excellent flame retardance and resistance to oils, heat distortion and thermal aging, by blending EVA or EEA, a linear polyethylene, a softener and two inorg. compds. CONSTITUTION:A resin compsn. contains 100pts.wt. ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) and/or ethylene/ethyl acrylate copolymer (EEA), 5-120pts.wt. linear polyethylene, 20-80pts.wt. brominated and/or chlorinated flame retarder, 5-50pts.wt. Sb2O3 and 5-100pts.wt. ZnO. If desired, conventional additives may be added to the compsn. EVA having a vinyl acetate content of 20wt% or below and a melt index of 0.2-5 is preferred. EEA having an ethyl acrylate content of 20wt% or below and a melt index of 0.2-1.0 is preferred. |
