A suction cleaning apparatus for sucking up dirt and liquids comprises an internal combustion engine/suction fan unit (1) which is mounted on a plate (2) above a reception tank (11) for the dirt and liquid. The plate also supports auxiliary equipment for the internal-combustion engine (3) such as starter, ignition system, control and checking devices, a fuel tank (4), and an overflow prevention valve (15).
