Depilatory composition

The invention relates to a depilatory composition based on a thioglycolic acid salt, which consists of a composition with 3-10% by weight of a thioglycolic acid salt, 2-30% by weight of calcium salts and starch as remainder of the content in powder form. The pH of the product according to the invention is between 11.5 and 12.5. The depilatory composition has unlimited storage stability, has a particular efficacy with considerably reduced application times and causes no skin damage whatever on the application sites.
