MACHINING DEVICE FOR OPTICAL DISC CENTER HOLE

PURPOSE:To make it possible to efficiently and stably machine the central circular part of a center hole in the direction along the thickness of a plate as well as to machine an optical disc center hole at the center of a track signal by the use of a machining device for an optical disc center hole. CONSTITUTION:With an optical disc 10 hold on a vaccum adsorption table 11, a Z-table 14 is raised so that a licensor camera 21 may be focused on a signal track installed on the optical disc 10. The center of signal track is obtained by the camera 21. The center of signal track obtained by the camera 21 is made to coincide with a rotating center of a cutting tool 18 for machining the center hole by means of X-Y tables 12, 13. Next, rotating the tool 18 at a fixed speed and raising Z-table 14, the tool 18 cuts in down to the end-face enter part of the center hole and the specified drilling operation can be performed.
