PURPOSE:To prevent an engine from suddenly rotating at a high speed, when oil is added, by detecting the lower limit of oil, making an oil level switch self holding in this state, and allowing said engine to maintain a low speed rotation. CONSTITUTION:When an engine has overheated causing a temperature sensing switch 44 to close, the ratio of duty of the output Va of an oscillation circuit 94 is gradually increased while a buzzer 46 is operated, to prolong the misfiring time of a spark plug 36, allowing the engine to rotate at a constant low speed. Also, when the oil in a tank 56 reaches the lower-limit level, a point of contact 62a is closed, a red lamp 54 is lit and the buzzer 46 is operated, allowing this condition to be preserved by means of a self-holding circuit. At the same time, a low-speed maintenance circuit 80 is operated an in the case of overheating. Thereby, sudden acceleration of ship due to sudden increase in engine rotation can safely be prevented even when oil is added. After oil is added, when the engine is restarted after a main switch 42 is once turned off, normal operation is resumed. |
