PURPOSE:To use an exchange of various dial signal forms while being moved freely in an exchange network without any complicated operation by providing a circuit setting automatically the dial signal form sent from a dial signal sending circuit. CONSTITUTION:A telephone set 1 is connected to an exchange 3 via a subscriber line 2. A DC loop is formed to the telephone set 1 with the exchange at application of power, and the telephone set 1 is provided with the dial signal sending circuit 10 sending a dial signal to the exchange 3 while its form is made different sequentially, a detection circuit 11 detecting the dial signal form of the exchange 3 depending on the replay from the exchange 3 to various forms of the dial signals, a memory 12 storing the detected dial signal form, a setting circuit 13 setting automatically the dial signal form sent from the dial signal sending circuit 10 based on the storage content in the memory 12 at hool-off, and a power supply 14.
