PURPOSE:To obtain a disc where both of optical recording and magnetic recording of a low defect rate are possible, by providing shadow tracks with stop transmission of a laser light to make magnetic recording possible. CONSTITUTION:Shadow tracks 1 consisting of materials through which the laser light is not transmitted are provided on the surface of an A substrate 2. An optical layer 4 is provided on a B substrate 6, and the A substrate 2 is put on the substrate 6 so that this optical layer 4 is sandwiched. When the laser light is made incident on a part between shadow tracks, this light reaches the optical layer 4 to form a recording or positioning track 5. When magnetic recording materials are used as materials of shadow tracks and a magnetic head is set to a device, shadow tracks 1 function as magnetic recording tracks, and thus, both of optical recording and magnetic recording on the same disc are possible, and the whole of the disc surface is used for both of optical recording and magnetic recording without leaving space. |
