PURPOSE:To improve the safety of an automobile's right and left side marker lamps by providing said lamp with an RS flip-flop which is set by both an output terminal connected to both right and left side marker lamps and a turn input terminal. CONSTITUTION:On conditions that a turn switch is in the neutral position, the equations TL=0 and TR=0 are established, a hazard switch is off, a lamp L flashes and the equation B=1 (B stands for a battery terminal) is also established, a flip-flop 20 will not set and if the conditions of Q'=1 and U=tail are satisfied, a side marker lamp functions similarly to a tail light. When the hazard switch is on, the flip-flop 20 is set on conditions of TL=1 and TR=1 and the side marker lamp is synchronized with the turn lamp to flash. When a turn switch is thrown in to the left, the left side marker lamp flashes on conditions of Q'=0 and U=TL. Besides, on conditions of Q'=1 and U=Tail in the flip-flop of the right-side control unit, the right side marker lamp is lighted on continuously and then lighted off along with the tail light. |
