PURPOSE:To prevent misjudgement that CST or CD is out of order in a device that remote controls selection of plural acoustic apparatuses such as cassette deck (CST), a compact disk player (CD) by inhibiting selection of the acoustic apparatus when a cassette or a compact disk is not inserted in the CST, CD. CONSTITUTION:A switch 19 is closed when insertion of a cassette is detected by a cassette detecting circuit provided in the CST and enables power source supply to the CST through an analog switch circuit 9. A switch 20 is closed when insertion of a compact disk is detected by a compact disk detecting circuit provided in the CD and enables power source supply to the CD. An inhibiting circuit 21 accepts input of an operation button 603 when insertion of the cassette is detected by a cassette detecting circuit, and inhibits input of the operation button 603 when insertion of the cassette is not detected. An inhibiting circuit 22 inhibits input of an operation button 604 when insertion of the compact disk is not detected.
