PURPOSE:To simplify the expression, by which the position of a boundary layer is obtained, by detecting the pressures at the specified positions of two kinds of liquids, and obtaining the position of the boundary layer based on the pressure difference of the pressures and the difference between the specific gravities of both liquids. CONSTITUTION:Pressure sensors SC and SH are attached to the bottom part and the top part of a hot and cold water storing tank 10. pressures P1 and P2 at the specified positions of the cold water and the hot water are detected by the pressure sensors SC and SH. The pressures P1 and P2 are inputted to a differential pressure generator 1, and the difference DELTAP between both pressures is outputted. In an operator 2, the position L of the boundary layer is operated based on the pressure difference DELTAP and the difference in specific gravities DELTAgamma of both liquids. The position signal of the boundary layer outputted from the operator is utilized as a monitoring signal or a control signal 5 for other equipment. |
