The invention refers to a device for the feeding of bulk material such as wood chippings, bark, and coal and similar from e. g a silo. The device is comprised of one or more fixed moving sliders (8) on a rail (7). The rail is displaceably housed in a stand (15) which in its turn is displaceable along a guide (6) alongside an outlet opening in the bottom of the silo.Feeding of material toward the outlet opening occurs through displacement of the rail front and backward, at which the moving sliders have wedge shaped cross-sections in order to feed the material during its movement on the silo bottom, mainly in the direction toward the opening. The stand is equipped with a device (23, 24) which in a primary position makes the stand parallel with the guide and in a secondary position allows side-positioning of the frame in relation to the guide. The second position allows the moving sliders to work sideways in the material mass at the frame's outward motion.
