PURPOSE:To provide the titled recording paper simultaneously satisfied in water resistance and weatherability and suitable for multi-color recording high in recording density and imparting sharp color tone, constituted by containing a polydiarylamine derivative having a specific structural unit as a cationic resin. CONSTITUTION:In an ink jet recording method for applying recording to a material to be recorded having at least a cationic resin contained in the surface thereof by using aqueous ink containing a water soluble direct dye (e.g. C.I. Direct Black) and/or water soluble acid dye, a polydiarylamine derivative comprising a constitutional unit having a structural formula represented by formula I , II or III (wherein R1 and R2 are CH3, CH2CH3 or CH2CH2OH and Y is an acid group) is used as the cationic resin. In this case, the content of the aforementioned cationic resin is pref. 0.2-2g/m<2>. |
