<p>1520946 Adjustable chairs K NEUMœLLER and S NEUMULLER 28 June 1976 [26 June 1975] 26791/76 Heading A4J A chair comprises a seat 3 adjustable in height by first lockable energy storing means 7 and a backrest 4 adjustable in inclination by a second lockable energy storing means 8, a common actuating handle 23 being provided to release the two energy-storing means, by movement in two directions transverse to one another. The seat 3 is mounted on a support structure 2 that is mounted on a base 6 by a gas spring 19, 20, and the backrest 4 is hinged at 15 to the structure 2, a gas spring 13, 16 being connected between structure 2 and a clamping head 10 mounting the backrest 4. The member 23 comprises a crank handle having bends 26, 27 that can depress release members 22, 18 of the gas springs to unlock the latter to allow adjustment.</p> |
