PURPOSE:To provide a fluidized catalyst for methanol synthesis having excellent anti-wear property and high activity, obtained by constituting the fluidized catalyst from each oxide of copper, zinc and aluminum containing a specific amount of aluminum oxide. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst for methanol synthesis is constituted of a substance consisting of each oxide of copper, zinc and aluminum and containing 50- 70wt% of aluminium oxide. As the stock material of aluminum oxide, aluminum isopropoxide is used and, as the stock material of copper oxide, copper nitrae is used and, as the stock material of zinc oxide, zinc nitrate is used. The amounts of copper oxide and zinc oxide in the catalyst is about Cu:Zn=0.5-20: 0.10 in an atomic ratio and, if necessary, oxide of Cr, V, Mg or Zr can be added in an amount of 2-5% by wt. of copper oxide and zinc oxide. |
