PURPOSE:To make a test of an input circuit by using the ten-key for quantity setting and quantity display device of a copying machine for development, designing, fault diagnosis, repair, etc., without using any special measuring instrument. CONSTITUTION:Power-on initial values are set an RAM 4 by the stored program in an ROM 3 and a mu-CPU 1 discriminates whether the copying machine is in test mode or not. When the test mode is entered, data is expected to be inputted on the ten-key whereas 1phi is regarded as a registration sensor and 11 is regarded as a paper discharge sensor. When some number is inputted, the logical level of the input signal corresponding to the input number is discriminated and a display of H or L is made on the quantity display device. For example, when the paper discharge sensor corresponds to positive logic in an normal state, H is displayed on the display in response to the input of ''11'' for the test mode. At this time, if a scanner is operated manually and the display changes into ''L'' when the paper discharge sensor is detached, the logic is also inverted, so an abnormal state is entered and an alarm device is driven. Further, when the scanner is returned to the original position manually, the logic changes into ''H'' and the alarm device sounds. Thus, the abnormal state is known. |
