PURPOSE:To unite a lens barrel and a camera body and to reduce in size by providing a roof mirror behind the lens barrel and setting a film surface in parallel to the optical axis of a lens. CONSTITUTION:This camera forms an image of a subject on the film surface 4 through a right-angle roof prism (or reflecting mirrors combined at some angle) behind the lens barrel 2. The roof mirror is used to obtain the image in an up- down and right-left normal state. The outward shape space occupying the majority of the camera of this structure is LXBXT (or diameter D of lens). Consequently, the ratio of (height of camera) to (thickness of camera or lens diameter), i.e. the occupying space is 1/3-1/2 as large as that of a conventional camera. |
