发明名称 END PART POSITION DETECTING METHOD OF HOT ROLLING MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE:To measure with a high accuracy an end part position in the width direction of a rolling material from temperature distribution information and a position of a detecting element, by embedding plural temperature detecting elements in the axial direction of a work roll, and deriving a temperature distribution of the time when a hot rolling material has been introduced in a roll. CONSTITUTION:To a work roll 10 of a rolling mill, plural temperature detecting elements (thermocouples) 12 are embedded along its axial direction X, and a temperature distribution of the axial direction X of the work roll 10 in case when a hot rolling material 14 has been introduced in the work roll 10 is derived, and sent to an end part position operating machine 16 through a rubber coupling 18, a slip coupling 20 and an amplifier 22. The operating machine 16 detects end part positions 14A, 14B whose temperature is changed suddenly, from temperature distribution information and a position of a thermocouple 12, and gives an off-center quantity by an off-center quantity operating machine 24.
