PURPOSE:To prevent dirt of pictures and impossibility of formation of latent images by eliminating a developer remaining on a part of a recording paper when a liquid storage part is detached from the recording paper for the purpose that an electrostatic latent image is formed again with a recording head after the recording paper is returned. CONSTITUTION:When development and fixing of yellow due to a developing device 19a are terminated with respect to a required length of a recording paper 11, a driving motor 6 is reversed to return the recording paper 11 in the direction of an arrow B. Simultaneously, a rotating body 20a of the developing device 19a is turned counterclockwise by a rotary solenoid 22 to detach a liquid storage part 27 and a main drying nozzle 28 from the recording paper 11, and an auxiliary drying nozzle 29 is brought into contact with the recording paper 11. A solenoid valve 30 of the developing device 19a is switched to disconnect the liquid storage part 27 and the main drying nozzle 28 from a vacuum pump 31, and the auxiliary drying nozzle 29 and the vacuum pump 31 are connected. Consequently, a developer 34a stuck to the recording paper is eliminated in the returning process of the recording paper by the auxiliary drying nozzle 29 to prevent dirt of pictures or the like. |
